QuaranTeens

Participatory vocal project

2021

QuaranTeens is a participatory vocal project developed across distance, exploring collective voice and presence in a distributed context.

Developed during a period of global isolation, the project brings together adolescent voices from different geographical contexts, forming a dispersed yet interconnected vocal body.

Through the collection, exchange and composition of individual contributions, the work constructs a shared sonic space in which distance is reconfigured as a condition of relation rather than separation.

The project investigates how collective vocal practices can persist beyond physical proximity, generating forms of presence, listening and connection across distance.

International project involving participants from 51 countries

Developed in collaboration with MAD – Murate Art District and Tempo Reale

Presented at Piazza del Carmine, Florence
